A word from me about me…

So, who is this female? I hear you ask!

I am Gemma, a 20 (something) Nutritionist living in London town, born and raised in Lancashire, who is pretty obsessed with cooking and baking.  I cannot say that everything I make is by any means perfect (as my friends and family will tell you!).  However, I am a firm believer of:

‘If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again’


I try to apply this theory to everything I do, so I cook and bake constantly; with the aim to improve.  Through my influences (namely work, and most importantly family) I have learnt to cook – hoorah!  Without cooking I am not sure I would be the person I am today… though I certainly would be much skinnier.  Cooking and baking has brought me friends, has given me great pleasure and has allowed me to keep going – even when the going has got tough.

For those who see food as fuel, I say ‘pah’.  You are correct it is, but is the only constant in your life.  You have to eat each day to maintain life so you may as well make the most of it and enjoy it.  This is why I am providing you with some of my favorite recipes – to enhance the food that you eat.  I hope it works, and either way I want you to feel free to tell me about it!

Above all… ENJOY my food and the process of making it.  All my recipes will end with this as a little reminder to have some FUN.

Ps.  I am a chatter box, so everything I write should probably be half the length, but hey… I am – a talker.  I also love drinking tea and eating cakes.

    What a fab photo! I found your blog through the wonderful Little Loaf and think I will be checking in regularly as I love your philosophy and your style. Oh, and your recipes too! I really agree that food should be enjoyed and love your observation about the fact we need to do it everyday (at least three times!) being the driver for this. I will let you know if I try out any of your recipes.
